In this Globe-commissioned world premiere, two siblings—Henry and Mariana—reconnect over Zoom during the pandemic to recreate their late mother’s cherished black bean recipe. As they cook together from separate kitchens, memories surface, secrets are unveiled, and a deeper bond is forged. This heartfelt comedy explores themes of family, food, and healing, brought to life with live cooking onstage, immersing the audience in a sensory theatrical experience.
